I am Amruta Ranade, a designer, researcher, mentor, teacher, and someone fascinated by how people move through the world.

I pay attention to the small things: how people choose, adapt, gather, and make meaning. That instinct has shaped my entire career.

Across two decades, I have worked in industrial design, UX research, experience strategy, and narrative-led problem solving at Titan, Kyocera Wireless, Intel, and several design consultancies. These years taught me how to listen beneath the surface, how to translate human behaviour into insight, and how to turn insight into decisions that shape products, services, and systems.

But beyond the roles, I am someone who loves food, writing, teaching, mentoring, and building spaces where people feel seen and supported. I care about work that feels alive, thoughtful, and human.

Today, through Salt & Circle, I consult independently and collaborate on meaningful projects across design, food, storytelling, and community, building a practice that feels true to who I am and what I value.
